Based on the bank account linked, NRIs can trade in the following segments:

- You can only trade in the equities segment if you link an NRE account to your trading and Demat accounts.
- If you link an NRO account to your trading and Demat accounts, you'll need to do the following: A Custodial participant (CP) code allows you to trade exclusively in the equity or derivatives segments. Find out more.

- NRIs are not permitted to trade in India's currency or commodity markets.
